Yeah, I considered the zeste business but couldn't believe Gainsbourg could be that facile. But then, he was French; they write their own rules.
I like the sideways jumping into McEwan though. On the strength of this clip there's a cold remedy gag (honey & lemon etc.) but, frankly, that's enough now - Ed.

Carrying on the incestuous theme with Cement Garden, it was directed by Charlotte's uncle Andrew Birkin. He also cast his young son as the youngest sibling, who has transvestite inclinations.
