The Fray - 'Never Say Never' (Dir: Ace Norton)
gorgonzola.
was this shot at the 'war of the worlds' attraction in universal studios?
haha.
I have only one question; whats the budget on this?
does this have something to do with the swine flu?
Since I'm moving on Friday, I packed my speakers. Can someone describe the song to me? :p
senilitynow:
y on wotw set
Too much budget for a poor video. I preffer the Broadcast one by Ramon Bloomberg:
also kind of reminds me of this new video
i like it. song is ehhh but it's a solid as hell video
yeah I don't understand antville. One post laments the death of music videos then the next declares "this is too much budget."
The Fray are a dorky band and this is a really exciting, visually striking video that makes good use of a big budget. The only thing that threw me off; they should have pulled out at the beginning of the chorus; instead of a few bars later.
And Jeeeeesus Christ Ramon Bloomberg did not invent "There's been a disaster and we see all the chaos in a single take" video. A ton of people have done it; and will continue to do it. Here's one that predates that one:
here, here. for a big budget it gets the job done. i get nostalgic when i watch this, it makes me think of the 90's- music videos are not dead guys.
Thanks for the link to that xzibit vid. Hadn't seen that one
It was indeed the War of the Worlds set. Way to step up your game, Ace! Super epic!
very nice looking. like the reveal/pull back a the beginning, I totally thought he was sitting at a piano.
is the whole "no guns" thing still a hold out from MTV? when is that rule gonna die?
p.s. little known fact, I was an extra on Snow Patrol's end of the world video..."Chocolate" I think.

No, Ramon Bloomberg didn't invent that but with less elements makes a more emotive video. And this is what is all about, telling a good story.
I don't understand why videos like this get a million comments and other really awesome ones are completely ignored. Is it the band or the director that gets people riled? I thought this was nice but I got bored.
I think a lot of people think this budget was much larger than it actually was (or at least sent out at). And aprilini, antvilliers i have noticed, like 2 things, Great videos, as well as great disasters if that makes sense, think of "Beautiful Corpse".
