Nice, but I'm kinda waiting for this look to be done with- i was hoping the killer's spaceman video would be the straw that broke the camel's back...

Some nice shots and ideas but it just didn't gel for me.

The kaleidescope effect worked better than in that Melody Gardot video from the other week, but still managed to outstay its welcome. The blacklight stuff didn't work as well as Claire Carre's Sia video - nothing seemed to be on the beat.

Oh, and in the last black light shot, the big dolly move, it seems like Wolf totally gets some of that crazy string straight in the face and it stays hanging off his lip for the rest of the shot.

Still, props to Wolf - who I believe is still sans label - for ponying up his own cash (or that of the folks on bandstocks.com) for a major director and big-budget video with stylists flown over from London and everything.

Actually, his last video, with a bit better lighting and shot on something like hi-contrast grainy B&W super16 stock, would have been pretty damn good. It just hit a cinematography FAIL due to bad colour HD -> post B&W. This one hits an attention to detail / originality / editing FAIL.

It's really frustrating because I think Wolf is great and the new songs are fantastic, and he deserves a really amazing video. Fingers crossed for the next one.

I want to like it, but I'm thinking I don't because the singer is a pretentious dick. Really, that's all I can come up with.
