The Dream feat Kanye West "Walking on the Moon" : Dir. Hype Williams

I wasn't sure if this was a joke or not until Kanye showed up and even he couldn't save this disaster... That song was horrible. The video looks like it's straight outta 1995 and ignores everything we've learned since then. And, why the hell didn't they have the art-dept mock up some moon surface for the 3/4 overhead of Dream's performance?!? That CGI half-assedness would be weak for an Epcot-center on-the-fly composite. And don't even get me started on the Millenium Falcon debacle. I guess I should be grateful that there are still people trying to make event videos but this is bad on every level imaginable.
-Song sucks -Video sucks -Makeup sucks -CGI sucks -Casting sucks -Wardrobe sucks (slight concession - Kanye's look works) -Eyewear (oh that f'ing eyewear) sucks!
AAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!
K
Oh, what a disaster. The artist looks fat, the girls look like they were paid in tranquilizers and everything else looks cheap as hell.
The idea was probable Michael/Janet 'Scream' but since they had $175k or so they ended up with something that looked more like 'Blue' www.youtube.com.
Ugh all around. Makes me think of ambition versus accomplishment and we can all see where this one ended up. 30frames.blogspot.com
Assuming one can still accuse Hype of ambition.
This video leaves me with a number of questions.
Is the "Scream" set still sitting around somewhere?
Who does Hypes FX? so that I can avoid them like the plague.
Wha Happen?
hey people, youre being nasty. im sure that for the people born in the 40's this comes off as an accurate portrayal of the future.
