help required please antvillains!

Does anyone know the technique used to create this incredibly washed out film look. I think its a special type of stock myself, but pretty sure its not reversal, so whaddya reckon, any clues?
the video in full:
Thanks peeps.
You can do it in post with a high contrast and a white diffusion filter
bleach bypass, crush the blacks and lift the whites in post?
even looks like it has a slight bloom filter or something over the top.
(nothing racial there btw)
I did something similar recently
Sloth Song by The Resistors from matt watson on Vimeo.
I used a convolution effect to bleach out the faces and a simple bit of colour correction
I have a sneak feeling its not a post thing, has anyone seen chappaqua? there are sections in that which look very similar and pre-date modern post FX, I think its a type of stock or processing....anyone?
Might not have been done in post originally, but you could fake that effect pretty easily in AE. You'll have more control and save time, but have less happy accidents then you would doing it practically. So there's a trade off there. -j
I think this was shot by Alex Smith at RSA? From what i remember he used a high contrast print film stock that they usually only use for titles or optical transfers? It certainly wasn't a regular stock...hope that helps
thanks ville-ains! very helpful!
^^ With MR B on this one - looks to be 16mm Sound Stock giving it that high contrast look
