CROWN JEWELZ (feat. A. Cat and The Stereo Sistaz) THINK TWICE (Dir. Brett Gregory)
This music video is making a difference by helping to promote anti-gun / anti-knife crime. It brings a lump to my throat when I see the pictures. Please help spread this message and support the cause.
Serious video theme..... but second posting for this within a week
Its a fair video performance wise. Sound!.
Guessing the budget wasn't huge coz there mus be better treatments for incorporating the obituary's.The background research could have done with a bit more effort also, as I note Birmingham ain't nowhere on the map there
As for politicians..... well everything seems by decree and hot air They or their minions never seem to get their arses out there on the streets where it matters So I wouldn't have give 'em no name check!
Thanks for the feedback, robodrug.
In response to your queries:
-
This is a charity video aimed at raising awareness of the causes and consequences of gun and knife crime in the UK. It is not entertainment.
-
We produced it for no charge whatsoever over a period of six months. It had no budget because nobody we approached was prepared to invest in a project where there is no financial return to be gained.
-
We contacted West Midlands Police in January 2009 to request permission to use images of lives lost in Birmingham but they failed to respond. The images we have finally used are those which have been properly authorised.
-
It has been posted more than once on this site because the video carries an extremely important social message which affects many young adults on a day-to-day basis. It is essential that this message is promoted as far and as wide as possible so these young adults are reminded that they're lives do matter, that they will not be forgotten about, and that there are people out there who really are trying their best to make a difference.

Your critical views on politicians are your own personal opinion and remind us that we still live in a democracy which is, ironically, maintained by the selfsame politicians you criticise. This said, they were kind enough to lend us their support in order for the video to gain the wider attention it deserves and, judging from your feedback, it is now receiving this.

After delivering such a detailed and open response to your post, what would be really helpful and honourable of you is if you now took a minute or two to lend your support and forward this video on to others, posting it on other websites of interest. Believe it or not, it could make all the difference to somebody somewhere.
Take care.

The 'democracy' "which, ironically is maintained by the selfsame politicians I criticise" is actually an interpretation (which you subscribe to) of the current system we find ourselves living under. I really have no reason validate the said opinion
So it comes as no big surprise, that you had to make the video for nuffin considering the Home Office clearly strained themselves to make £250k available to help communities in England and Wales tackle gun and knife crime over the last two years Also 'The Connected Fund', only invites applications for grants of up to £5k, this they clearly consider enough to divert young people away from gun, knife and gang culture. Piss poor! I'll say! Three young ppl highlighting gun crime raised half that amount by walking from LDN to B'ham last year
West Midlands Police failed to respond! Another no great surprise. Their PR dept is rubbish Think I'll leave it at that! Contacting an organisation like the New Year Shooting Memorial Trust (Shakespeare sisters Family), Families For Peace or even MOJUK would have seen You better placed!
