Preston - Dressed To Kill (Dir. Ollie Evans)

Music is shit, video is great. Big fan of the saturation. Cinematography is fantastic.
stupid
I think it looks really nice but I don't like seeing stuff so clearly ripped off. It was the hanging that done it for me. The rest was a little more subtle.
This video looks like a parody of music videos. Which is sort of cool and also sort of really gay.
Is it just me or are a lot of the young directors at Partizan video's starting to look the same. The direct and obvious references to the 80's is really irksome. Cinematography is nice though.
Yeah I gather most are under 35, hence the references. We are in the 21st century and yet, its doesn't feel like it if the 80's is our source of inspiration for so many. This one is cool because visually it looks good, but that's about it.
rubbish/annoying/couldn't get through it
There is nothing wrong with referencing stuff from the 80's even if that decade has generally been a bit overused over the last 4 years. Everyone references something but it's when those references are so obvious and not elaborated on that the words lazy and unoriginal can come into play. If this was comical or more of a homage than I would get it but as it is all that can be said is that the shots look pretty.
