Erik Hassle - Don't Bring Me Flowers After I'm Dead (Dir:David Dawoodi)
Universal's new UK signing. Shot in LA. Director David Dawoodi (Independent Films). Editor Robin Siwe.

I like the song, and the photography is pretty nice for what I'm assuming was a very modest budget, but the re-using of setups/shots confused me. Was there supposed to be a story here? I feel like this could've been great. Maybe even if they visited a grave together at the end or something. Anything to tie it all up.
doesnt really work.
i actually like this. i don't want to read too into it, but it seems like perhaps they're stuck in limbo. notice how there's no one else in the city (i think there's one dude walking around, but whatevz).
the photography is cool, as is the grade. what'd you shoot this on david?
Shot on re-can/re-sell 35mm which is something one can do in the US. There's no aftermarket film resales in the UK, which is a shame. Very economical.
This was a challenging production to say the least, not only budgetary, but in every other way as well. We shot about half of the treatment we set out to do due to various factors. This video was done in the edit. And if it's any good, it's mainly down to David's exceptional skills at getting the best out of his editors.
But the main idea that this odd trio is reliving and reawakening to a succession of identical days spent doing nothing in a slightly deserted town, although very compromised, is kinda still in there somewhere.
oh the dullness of living in the burbs/reminded me a bit of 'wristcutters: a love story'/ but the video seems unfinished/ it doesn't go anywhere
