Berndsen - Supertime (Dir. Helgi Jóhannsson)
Me and my friends are a bunch of unemployed film makers in Iceland, lazing about in the economy crunch and decided to do an independent music video which would be like something we had never ever seen before ourselves. The outcome was a very violent and bloody but at the same time cheerful and spunky clip for icelandic popstar Berndsen. Thanks to the economic crisis HD RED camera equipment could be rented for cheap, and all cast and crew was happy to give their work for the cause of using one sunday to do something that could maybe produce nightmares in one or two weakhearted people. I hope you enjoy watching it as much as we enjoyed making it.
Ha. I liked it. Catchy tune. Sharp focus. I like the idea of people having no sympathy for car crash victims too. Twisted concept. Thumbs up!
Love the base concept. Enjoyed the irreverence. The weakest link is the ending. The video doesn't move beyond its opening. I wanted to see something develop out of the original idea and nothing ever did. Nicely shot though, decently edited, and clearly a talented team that put this together.
Well done,
K
Well, I hate to admit it but I liked it. I cringed a lot through it, but I liked it. Now I hate myself.
haha, count me in with Nick Goose as also liking the treatment of the crash victims, pretty funny shit.
I only wish that there could have been more, perhaps a different location/set of victims, but that is meant as a compliment for sure. Nice work, dudes.
oh yes! well done. i really enjoyed.
even if i do agree with kalstark about the ending. (may be they should play with the victims until there is no more fun (the victim stops to be responsive, the victim dies) and then move to another car crash to start another party).
Thanks! I really appreciate the feedback. There were loads of stuff that we wanted to do but didn't have the time to get, but overall we are very happy with the outcome. Now I just want to get this as far and wide over the web as possible, any ideas where I can plug this?
The 'Oh damn OUCH' feeling from the first scene doesn't let go. I was expecting something more violent in the literal, 'usual' sense but the over-the-top actions makes it even more bizarre, more of a transgression in a way, accident victims one of society's ultimate taboos. Yes, a bit of a resolution would round this a lot.
LMAO this was super good work guys. i agree ending did feel limp but i felt a slow progression in audaciousness. bloody slip n slide was awesome. great work, i have already sent off to my mates!
creepy and twisted.
the "leg air guitar" made me laugh.
well done.
still a great video, found it on vimeo.com
