hype williams & and community college music video directors: keeping the cyc wall business alive!

i've said this before and i'll say it again. just give all this hype money to mandler...or w.i.z...or nez...

So what exactly is the problem with this video? it's exactly what it needs to be coming from Hype. Certain directors thrive when budgets are higher, and Hype is one of those director. So is W.I.Z. and so is the other guy.

Giving this video to Nez would infuse it with an 80's vibe, and there would be more neon. Is it necessarily a better video? maybe to Antville audience but the main audience for this doesn't care. It's all about if it works or not. I'd say give it up making a video for this to begin with, and spend the money on marketing / viral. That would be great, and a break from the norm. I would even say make an X rated version with the same concept and viral that!

Really, this is the 3,000,0000 millionth video made this way from Hype's template, but it plays well in Russia or third world countries were this style is considered fresh.

And overseas is actually more important a market than usa, because it spreads and here we're just jaded by the same ole thing. Toss us a bone this could be better but they don't try cause it really doesn't matter. Hype.

that was a perfectly fine video. the blacklight shots of the girls were excellent. The edit was nice. The whole tone of the video fit with the song. Thoroughly watchable video.
