that expression at 1:58 is the god damn bee's knees. I remember seeing this posted before but I skipped over it, I think, cus it looked so flatly lit. It's pretty hilarious, especially with the gentle one-shot track-back, but yeah, a little more dramatic lighting would have pushed it a bit further, in my opinion.

we kept the lighting flat because we wanted the "bad dept. store lighting". I hope it works when you think of it that way or that it came across like that to others.

we did try to emphasize the lighting more on Tim and the Mannequin as well as Marilyn(the wife) and Justin(the shoe clerk), but overall we wanted it simple.

Also, haha we honetly didn't have the money for more lights.

@mattw - yeah, that had occurred to me, the dept store lighting thing, but it's whatever, I just watched this again and I like it a bit more. Really dig the track too, hadn't heard of Clues. Anyway, good work, man.
