Massive Attack - Splitting the Atom, Dir: Baillie Walsh

That was powerful and I'm impressed they didn't pander to us at the end. They knew what most of us wanted to see but didn't let us have it because it would have been a lie.
As an aside, I imagine there is some behavior of mine that could prove my position hypocritical but I'll say it anyway - this is a disgusting sport.

argh, that's fucked up. very effective, I hate it
is it necessary? what are they pretending to explain? i'm from spain and ashamed of bullfighting and I don't see the point in this video. Kalstark what do you mean? What do you want to see?
killer track, ace video.
Not everyone will feel this way but I wanted to see the bull successfully defend itself. And, it would have been all too easy to end this video with the bull goring one of the matadors. Then I would have been able to cheer for the underdog (bull) and think to myself that every so often the bull wins and that there is actually some level of fairness and sport in this cruelty.
But, that would have been a lie. The bull almost always dies - painfully and slowly. This is animal torture and the creators of the video didn't water down the power of their message by tacking on a 'Hollywood ending' - i.e, the bull gets the matador.

Mixed feelings about this. There is a very strong, visually appealing aesthetic aspect on the matador's ritual moves and the whole 'dance' of the show, but at the same time there's the feeling of this being nothing but shock reaction bait and yes, the spectacle of death isn't pretty when we see the real thing.
What's all the hype? it was a shitty music video.
I actually liked it. I just wish it was sharper and that the speed varied a little more. I got dragged by the slo-mo.
boring (to death).
This video feels like the director shot some super 8 of a bull fight and they cut it together to make a video - I like that about it.
Thought this was pertinent to the bull fighting imagery: keef.tv
pointless, lazy, ineffective
