Midnight Juggernauts - "This New Technology" (Dir: Special Problems)

I'm a becoming a big fan of Special Problems; simple ideas but always really solid execution. I'd like to see what would happen if they got their hands on a real track. As for this, I like it after the first 40 seconds.
I'd like to see what anyone could do with $20,000 and 9 weeks.
As for this video I have come up with a simple equation to explain:
special Problems + $20,000 + 9 weeks + after effects = hipster screen saver
This is completely unoriginal, both the technique and the quite obvious references. A beyond simple concept taken way too seriously.
What an irritatingly bitter perspective. Sure, it might not be the most original or engaging piece of work that's been seen here, but it's a perfectly competent and professional film. $20 000 (presumably A$) and 9 weeks is not particularly luxurious either in terms of budget or timeline for something like this. It's an indictment on the music video industry (read "hobby") that praxen seems to feel that it is.
9 weeks! Surely they could have shot a feature film in 9 weeks.
The video isn't bad but its not good either. I almost fell asleep halfway through.
I enjoyed watching it, but I do want to see more higher res videos (next to HD quality). The only place you get to see videos like this is on the net, or if you're lucky on SD TV.
On demand HD music videos! Is that too much to ask?
With 20000$ and 9 weeks more interesting things can be done. And expected quite more from the juggernauts. A shame.
