David Dallas "Big Time" : Dir. Special Problems

i really like this because it reminds me of Ne-o's early work... a lot of nice clean stills, moving elements and background plates mixed together with simple 3D camera moves.
Back in the game Sharpie? Round 2? No joking... Actually I agree, I like this one too. Nice simple IDEA that is well executed. The only criticism I would have is the animation is kind of unnecessary and the 'old scool' vibe is a bit meh.
Not keen Kansas... but yeh, the graphics aren't that great, the problem being they don't follow the "correct rules of pixel art" and perhaps a bit after-thought-ish?
but other than that, really cool.
I agree this is 'cool' but I am not down with the special problems animation department fullstop. The Tame Imapala, Midnight Juggernauts and Wolfmother videos all just seem like an aesthetic extension of the same video. The Jonathon Boulet one is some hipster's indie / emo bullshit dream. But this is heading in a new direction for them which I think is more promising. Maybe let go of the whole random indie animation aesthetic and start focusing on your ideas and film skills. They're obviously there hiding behind the 'cool' veil. Anyway good work on this one.
