Kid Cudi "Pursuit of Happiness" director - Brody Baker

video doesnt play :(
they are right! this does not play. how can i watch a video if it doesn't play. maybe i had sat down and made time just to watch this video? and now what happen? i am dissappointed. in France we like to make times to sit and watch videos. so sad now i cannot.
sync is off.
I can't believe they canned a Megaforce video for this.

Brody Baker is the director.
Watch the video here : www.kdbuzz.com
Couldn't watch it all. Boring and sync is totally off which is a big fuck up for a hip hop video.
Megaforce video was probably 'too creative' and thus scared the general public.
director is credited as Josh Hartnett
seems like Hartnett is the producer. What does that mean? Why would a successful actor want to produce music videos? I can see wanting to produce features, or direct music videos - but who wants to produce music videos? Is he line producing? Executive producing? So odd.
I'm sure it's executive producing...I doubt he did anything too intense on the project.
I've got no doubt that the megaforce one is better, but I bet Kid Cudi and the label (more emphasis on the label) wanted this video more to gain more press. I doubt it has anything to do with the actual quality of either video.
Maybe Hartnett just wants some indie cred. Maybe he wants his name out there again? Who knows...that's the real mystery.
The real waiting game is waiting to see what megaforce does. It sounds like they haven't been given the post end of the budget for the video yet (from the angry tweets, etc). If they "leak" the video, they can most likely kiss that money goodbye as well, because it violates the contract.
I've worked on a few shelved videos for popular indie artists before, one eventually got released months later, and one I've only seen one cut of and never heard or saw anything from it again (it's now two years plus since that edit).
