how the hell did the beast video get nominated? i mean its an awesome video and it fully deserves the spotlight... but both the band and video have gone laregely unnoticed up until now!!

Great! on Beast getting nominated. And the rest of their music is excellent.

You said it Captain, until now... Even Oren Lavie is not something really commercial I think. Its great to see videos who really deserve being in the spotlight.

Seeing Beast up there is nice. As for it being out of the blue -- consider that the principal behind Beast is not an unknown amongst the Academy Of __________ and Sciences crowd; she is an Oscar-nominated songwiter. She co-wrote the theme for, and sang in The Triplets of Belleville. Performed it on the Academy Awards too.
