Too derivative. The only thing it brought was the whole dad thing. The actors are game, the video is well made, so it gets a pass.
The food eating gets old quick, and there's good footage of the dad. Why not push that?
There was another competitive eating video out there (not Simian) that was petty good, which echoes the movie Taxidermia.
