Tom suffers from a rare case of Percussitis. Percussitis is a genetic disease developed from birth which manifests an abnormal growth of the skull and jaw, expanding to the full circular extent of the head's capacity. The skin of the face is stretched so much so that features are distorted making it incredibly painful for Tom to see, speak, smell & breathe.

Tom's head weighs over twice the weight of the average person's head resulting in a stress of the neck and back problems. Although highly robust in structure, Tom's head is highly sensitive to sound resulting in regular headaches and migranes.
