i think the jump cuts are an artificial way to create energy, which you didn't really need. it would've been more fluid had there not been any.
the protagonist isn't a very good actor, i agree. a little injection of humor into this video would have helped, because as is it comes off melodramatic & a bit student-y (especially when you bring fake guns into the equation).
good effort though & i'm interested in seeing the 2nd part.
