Royksopp: The Drug
GREAT SONG! shows obvious the near future of the US&A...
Who directed this? The world needed to be fleshed out more (for instance, why do characters appear and disappear? Why are our girls 80's suburban chicks? etc etc).
But yes, interesting song/video.
dir. That Go
Id lvoe to know where this was shot!
maybe the 80s chicks are standing for a better age, in the 80s everybody saw that US&A were sophisticated, but 30 years later there was no further progress and the US&A starts to molder...

I'm used to seeing nothing but first-rate videos from Royksopp. When I saw that they had a new promo I actually got excited. Now, all I am is disappointed...
The video feels half-baked and kinda trite. It hints at something so very serious but can't give us anything more than exotic faces and wandering girls. This could easily have been a Canon 7D fan-made video and considering that the band is Royksopp that makes me sad.
Nice make up effects. Cool visuals. I wish the girls had been taking pictures of each "zombie" they ran into. Like a field trip to the urban jungle.
I love Lost Places... and this video fits its mood...
I don't really understand what that was. Looked nice. Nice makeup. Poor direction. Basically I agree with Kalstark.
like a most uninspired vice/ dazed digital fashion film. and if you want to pretened youre walking through a post-apocalyptic wasteland, you better make sure it looks like hashima island
fail.
Digging the concept for this more than I do the direction. It's poignant considering this is not post-apocalyptic but contemporary USA (xcept for the zombies of course, even tho one can argue they're metaphorical which of course they are..) Anyhow, I thought this was a good video. On vimeo.
