This Colin Tilley guy is getting around in the industry fast. He's only 22.

colin tilley is truly this years hack... props to his age and booking the gigs... but it shows. his success may truly be an example how fucked the industry is... his style is cookie cutter 'cut to the beat' college stoner mentality... no filmmaking or real editing. basic dslr nothingness... bad colors BAD PORN LIGHTING... especially in some of his other clips.

looking at his work i'd imagine he finishes before deadlines... it shows. slop slop slop. dolly dolly dolly. chop chop chop. deliver exactly what's expected. the next nigel dick. it took me a minute to even remember nigel. i wonder if he's doing smack in back alleys yet.

'directing' aside, this is chris browns best clip in a while. the styling is original (cream/ neon jackets) and the dancing is what chris is famous for... killer moves.

this kind of video makes me appreciate the directors i resented 6 years ago. there's nothing here to watch but chris brown move. imagine a talented director pairing. some shot construction... some sequence ideas... some directing.

also if i see this backlot one more time... or that abandoned warehouse downtown... these locations used up!! give us something new! back to my cubicle.

I pretty much agree completely with Motley. Though Colin isnt 22 hes a tad bit older. Regardless his edits are horrible, the cinematography is garbage and overal everything is just sloppy and messy. Even the camera moves feel like they were captured during an earthquake and aftershocks. Look at Joseph Kahns Chris Brown videos in comparison to Tilley's, look at Ray Kay and Dave Meyers, Jutin Bieber videos in comparison to Tilley's.

This kid is a hack, he must be pretty cheap.
