I think warren fu is a fine director. But he needs to get better at directing talent, the artist do look bored in his videos. Also, fades look cheap. Always do. I liked the video. It's fine.

         

Why does Warren Fu get pushed for all the big name artists? I actually don't see anything that interesting or inspired about any of his work. He's an ok director with ok ideas but not a great director with great ideas. There are far more interesting directors on Partizan atleast. I really just don't get it, makes me think some weird shit goes on with the commissioning at Partizan.

         

Warren's been a long friend/collaborator with the Strokes. Just cause this video isn't all that doesn't mean there is 'weird' shit going on at Partizan.. Have you seen the other videos coming out of there lately?

         

Yeah I've seen them and 'meh'. Skinny, Kinga and Canada's latest offerings are far from food for thought. Gondry is in a league of his own and I am sure he actually has little to do with Partizan.

I get it if Warren is a friend of the strokes... that's cool and makes sense but in the end I still find his work boring and I still don't understand how he got the daft punk thing.

Actually I think the main reasons I ever found Partizan interesting were because of Saam and Nima.
