The National - Conversation 16
"The National's new music video for 'Conversation 16' stars both Mad Men's John Slattery and Bob's Burgers's Kristen Schaal. Schaal plays the President of the United States; she even pardons a turkey!"

Another band with famous friends but shitty music videos...
ugh, this band can afford to make a decent budgeted video, why don't they?
There are a lot of great bands who for whatever reason don't want to attempt any kind of sincere emotional interpretation of their music. Instead they prefer to opt for irony or half-hearted performance videos rather than swing for the stars. I don't know if this is a reluctance on the band's part to accept other people's interpretations of their music or a result of the wrong people pitching for them. Arcade Fire and The Strokes are two other bands off the top of my head that fall prey to this. Kanye West has the exact opposite of this syndrome which is why I love him.
