mixed feelings about this one…
Not a fan of the After Effects aesthetic but cute idea.
The concept doesn't quite work with the setting I think. Go to a fucking whorehouse, and perform there, all chicks gave birth that's a concept me and probably others buy. The time spent on FX why not direct the girls to do an actual perf? I just didn't think the video needed any of that extra effects. It works when it's clever and Daniels is good at that, but not here.
The tech is good and there's just too many tricks, like the Daniels had coked up Tony Montana the post. I am a fan of their work, but this isn't as good as their best, too many tricks I think.
PS I'd like to see them shoot on the daytime, every vid is at night.
I like the idea even if it's a one line joke but I really don't like the DSLR-After Effects-film school project feel. I'm somehow reminded of an amateur Robert Rodriquez crossed with low brow college nerd humor but maybe that fits the bill? I do like that Daniels have simplified this video compared to their last (much loved) Michel Gondry fan video. All and all it's a good effort but I don't think I'll watch it more than once.
No sex involved? :P
