"surrealism" and "having meaning" is a contradiction. original surrealism attacked the ideology of meaning from the bottom of the heart.

let me rephrase it then by 'meaning' i meant anything which is more than style over substance. as they say, surrealism is more than playing with random imagery, its a way to explore the world; surrealism doesnt mean no meaning at all, but a key chain to alternate universes

Yes, these types of videos really need to disappear.

For me surrealism has an extremely narrative core from which the images have arisen, essentially from the artist's subconscious, with their life and reading of reality being that narrative core.... leaving the images as footprints to a larger unseen meaning.

So yes, this "tubmlr surrealism" is a damned brilliant way to describe faux surrealism.

Tumblr is a lost algorithm in the internet wilderness giving birth to all these things.
