My Morning Jacket, interview and live performance, by Scott Compton and Remedy Editorial
On June 24, My Morning Jacket descended on Oakland's historic Fox Theater for an epic performance in support of their majestic album, Circuital. Remedy Editorial's Scott Compton and his merry band of video documentarians made the scene on behalf of Boing Boing. You'll remember Scott and crew as the artistes who brought The Swell Season and The Decemberists to the big little screen for Boing Boing Video. We are now honored to feature their loving cut of My Morning Jacket, interviewed and live in concert on June 24, 2011.
spam
No it's not spam, our friends made it, we blogged it at Boing Boing, and I think it's an awesome video.
sign up and post links to cool music videos
And I did.
nope.. you spammed an 'interview and live performance'.
don´t they have a music video? 'cause only hardcore fans are watching 20min bla bla...
this stuff doesn't belong here
Didn't clock the video length Spotted it about the 4.20 mark n I think "No way!" They're right your wrong! Twenty minutes too long is spamming Xeni
I didn't realize the format requirements here were so narrow. Look: it's a video. It's full of music. It's also awesome.
At any rate, I'm not a fucking spammer. If the moderators of the site deem it inappropriate, feel free to delete. Otherwise, the scroll bar is your friend, and if this sort of content (which I personally believe to be awesome, beautiful, and presumed was in keeping with the content people post here) is not okay, then I won't post it again.
Are you the real Xeni?
Yes, silly, I am the real Xeni. Who else would bother posting this here? We featured it on Boing Boing today. Some friends of ours made it, I was genuinely blown away (they shot much of it with the RED, and the whole project was such a huge labor of love for them), and was psyched to share it here, too.
People complaining at you is vaguely hilarious.
@najork LOL yeah. Fine, I'm a spammer. Just call me Mrs. Mugabe. And let me know if you'd like to help me with this wire transfer from Boing Boing's Nigerian prize delivery headquarters.
ironically, your post might have gone unnoticed/unscathed, were it not that antville is currently doing some soul-searching. yes, the definition of "music video" has expanded quite a bit, but when that brings a radically open community, such as antville is, to its limits of signal-to-noise, the difficulties of crowd-curation rear their less than genteel head. so: pleased to have you consider the 'ville as the place for awesome music videos, do bear with us as we re-tune our hive-mind to a finer frequency.
who is xeni jardin

never heard of him but thanks
she posted 8 videos in the 'ville before, too. ;-)
@ legion, oh well we have now :)
at 21 mins long, it must be one of the longest if not the longest video ive never seen oh, wait, not a music video?
At the end of the day this is not a music video and I don't care if it was Mark Romanek who posted it. Anyhow Boing Boing is a great blog, but videos.antville.org is for music videos not live performances /interviews.
Hi. I'm the guy who made the video. I did it for free. No money from anyone. I'm not affiliated with BB, MMJ or any label/pr/dod, etc. I like MMJ. Sue me. It was nice to find out that they are actually cool guys with a point of view that I agreed with. Seriously, please pull the video down if it's not to your site's liking. There are plenty of other places to show it. all good.
ah this is getting pathetic. haha it's really not that big a deal. anyhow looking forward to antville 1.3 cheers. ;)
i was laughing so hard... 'call me Mrs. Mugabe...' the best videos.antville conversion since years... thx
yes, antville 1.3 bring it on… also xeni, scott, remedy: keep doing what you love… if you build it, he will come.
