Yes. Some people likes his videos. He doesn't totally fail everytime.

But in my small opinion I find his body of recent work rushed and careless. I have no idea why he came back to videos if not to make quick money as commercials must not be paying off.

The RHCP video isnt horrible. But its been done a million times before the and coverage is very boring and shot on film for no apparent reason and overly graded. Can anyone even finish the video? And can any of the people on Venice really even seen them?

The Katy perry video ain't bad. Mainly due to the fact that it was co directed and the concept wasn't his. It was the labels idea from the beginning. My main qualm is that it doesn't look like a Jon Hugh's film. More like American pie which is a shame because it could have been solid.

In the end I think there are quite a few talented directors who would do a much better job on any of these videos. His work just looks lazy.

Though I did like teenage Antichrist.

Also this fun video is horribly edited. Ruins the song and forces us to look at horribly framed slow mo that reeks of bad 2005 videos.

Sorry for hating but better work can be done.

         

I didn't think it was bad just too dark. I can't see what's happening. It's the slo mo that's lazy.

The work of Keith Schofield comes to mind. Heaven can Wait.

That's a slight comparison. The latter is a good clip.
