I wish some Megan Ellison-type would front the money for a high definition/Blu-ray music video project for huge artists (Madonna, MJ) and directors (Romanek, David LaChappelle, Spike, the rest of the Directors Label dudes).

That "Michael Jackson's Vision" box set was such a let-down because it said they meticulously restored all of the videos, but some of them look better on the old DVD releases of his.

I'd actually love to know how much of a pain in the ass it would be to re-digitize and truly remaster music videos, since I doubt the digibeta master tapes the film was telecined onto were any resolution higher than 960x540. Shit, chances are the original film reels are either in a landfill or in some rotting storage complex in Reseda.
