Idea stolen from Ori Gerscht. Pretty weak.
otc always knows whats up
respect otc
@ mylovesoon - otc is the man who knows whats up.
@ hairy - is he just commenting or is he doing videos himself? would be great to see his work and maybe understand a bit more where his frustration comes from ;-)
otc is my brother and i am my brother's keeper so if you two gents would be so kind as to put a stop to this...
sure its rebecca@dairystudios.co.uk or otc_ocb@hotmail.com
You must be new here mylovesoon.
ie) New to the internet.
@mylovesoon (Yves I assume?)
I posted my comment because I consider your video a form of plagiarism. This an old debate around Antville but the undeniable stylistic similarities here as well as the lack of additional context makes this case seem particularly black and white.
If you have an argument otherwise I'd love to hear it but I don't see how you could arrive at the same content, framing and lighting without at some point having looked at Ori's work. I'm sure if he saw this Ori Gerscht would probably be wondering who the fuck Yves Ackermann is.
I'm not arguing that anyone who quotes a piece of visual culture is a rip-off artist but the whole point is that you should combine things in new contexts. Putting someone else's art project (without credit) to music is not only lazy but it's not fair. Worst case you could be sued.
like i said, otc from dairystudios knows whats up
