Am I the only one who thinks it sucks people are no longer posting .MOVs or .Mp4s and are instead posting just youtube/vimeo lnks????

also quicktime doesn't really work as easily as youtube & vimeo

         

Production company websites used to be the source for linkable quicktimes. Now they've mostly switched to vimeo or some form of flash. I don't know where you'd even find quicktimes anymore.

         

there used to be only one thing worse than flash on the interwebs. they called it quicktime...

I use Orbit Downloader in Windows to capture MVs. 90% they work.

         

Yes, vimeo has some nice HD stuff, but most stuff on youtube is not to a nice standard. All in all, the files that were posted here back in the day were of SUPERB quality and with easy download links. Not to mention it was more selective what got posted, now just about anything goes- is off putting to even click on most of the youtube links.
