In my opinion the song is mediocre (although it is a stand out on the album), but the video is extraordinarly natural.

ok, song whatever, but the video is plainly just a bunch of sloppy DSLR footage that functions more like a "behind the scenes" than a real video. If you'd told me this was "directed" by a label intern with a 7D I would have believed you. I'm all for natural-vibe videos, but this just feels undercooked.
Beyonce is an amazing performer and beautiful on camera no matter who directs her, but this feels like a missed opportunity.
