Reflecting on it I shoulda stuck up Twist It A more cynical Hipster video you could not find... I got two other bands that I see 'n work with live and rate. I jus' got to sort out some decent clips of theirs to post!

         

Well gotta say I like the first vid you posted more than the 'cynical hipster' one.

         

But your comment brings to mind something I've wondered ever since I started a music video program and website.. Are the important bands the ones who shun videos? Just do live videos and wank a video out for one of us? There are bands who avoid videos, and the video crowd, and heck, are they right? Should we shun video in favor of music, free (supposedly) of image?

         

And if you think you're not hipster material too, my friend..

         

Answering the question, I think it's fair to say that the video system is not made for every musical act. And it shouldn't be. Wilco does fine avoiding videos, but some bands love the opportunity to make one, like Ok Go. Etc etc blah

         

OK I get u! Some bands have little stage presence live Its all well 'n good to be an accomplished musician. No good though to stand there like a tame lemon! Really fucks me up They don't even have facial expressions It's hard to get any mileage outta it But then I guess my concerns don't matter a lot to the audience, who just mark time knocking back a few beers till the main band's set!

I don't have a beard wear checked shirts or skinnys I can't see me self as being as ridiculously photogenic as the homeless guy, who has been apparently claimed for hipsterdom!

         

I remember that picture. Geez. Guy needs some empathy from the rest of us. And probably a few dollars, some housing, and food. ..and free education, a leg up, etc.

         

Totally agree mate.... I spent a year of my early youth living on the streets till my late brother (he was well wild...psychopathic, died from pneumonia associated with heroin abuse) got one of his mates to allow me to couch surf at his place as a step to socially reintegrating myself!
