“Church Bells” is the fourth single from Carrie Underwood’s fifth studio album Storyteller. It was released to country radio on April 3, 2016.

The song is about a young woman who marries a rich man, a marriage that comes somewhat violent and she ends up poisoning him “mysteriously” in order to free herself.

Carrie Underwood calls it “Fancy’s little sister”, referring to Reba McEntire’s 1991 single.
