β€œIssues” is an upbeat anthem about a relationship between people who have β€œissues,” but love each other enough to work past them.

The track gained lots of buzz after her friend and studio buddy Selena Gomez posted an Instagram video of them dancing to the track.

On March 20, 2017, this single had its TV debut in a live performance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, thereby also marking the first TV performance for Julia Michaels.
