They wanted to entice a hipster clientele in keeping with the gentrification of the area. Coincidentally a recording studio not a stones throw away where a number of the bands practiced also closed and modified its usage For nearly ten years musicians, artists, people genera and sub cultures mixed peacefully I documented the performances and after parties. It was a hub and melting pot and social glue, it will take a long time to reform such a spirit. I met so many people that I never thought I'd ever have any collective understanding or friendship with. Sure its sad and never will be replicated like it was, but the bonds that were formed will come into play at some future date. Meanwhile I like many am reflecting on the next chapter
