Youkyung has played drums since her seventh grade. Graduated from Yewon Arts University as a Practical Music Major and was the drummer of "Sponge Band" before joining AOA and AOA Black with Jimin, Choa, Yuna and Mina. After her contract with AOA's agency FNC Entertainment expired, she decided to leave the band and not renew her contract Though apparently she would continue to guest on AOA material In 2019, she joined the band P.AZIT
