The Vines-Gondry (?)
Gondry is credited for this video for the vines. An unusually normal video done by him. Please confirm if he did it.
I believe it's him. The Director File website claims it is. It's simple, but it feels pretty Gondry-ish.
i said that because he always claimed that he never do videos with bands just doing there stuff. And this one is close to that. i like conceptual videos but this one is maybe only that, not too funny to watch (like the withe stripes in live stopmo)
the video reminds me of the "the hardest button to button" video he directed for the white stripes... there it was multiplying drumsets and amps, here it's also musicians... if it's not gondry working on this technique, then it it someone copying gondry at least.
Michel Gondry has a brother called Oliver Gondry who also does music videos. I used to have a client who knows Oliver and he told me that Oliver was working on The Vines music video early this year or end of 2003.
I don't know anything about the guy......I just know the video is truly bitchin.....would love to the behind the scenes on how they made it.
they are the best band there a mix of nirvana and kool 70's bands!! agree, disagree? dont care, all i no is that craig is a smart talented artist and is not astoner, but if his is thats ok to.
