I had this idea a long time ago; I really wish I was a director, and had some sort of super power, flight perhaps.

the only problem: after seeing it online, I thought for a while that it was a compression problem. I think this was done better in the Happy-helmed Adam Freeland video (in the directory).

Yeah the pixellation should have been more visible. more plain colors. more graphic. but what's the idea behind it?

i like the song, but the video didn't do anything for me. it was decent.

To captaianmarc22: What adam freeland video? The only one in the directory is "i want your soul" and that doesn't really look like what you're talking about, good video though in itself.

To ai: Well, in my idea for the video, random things were just supposed to be pixellated (i have no idea how to spell) and it was supposed to be funny I guess. I got the idea from watching blur's "beetlebum" where the bassist's cigarette is blurred, and then the drummer drinks from a can that is obviously coke, but it's also blurred. I'm sure sophie muller didn't mean this to be funny (as nothing else in the video is funny, unless you find the singer of a britpop band rolling around n the floor funny) but I laughed for some reason. So I thought that I'd blur random objects, like someone eating a hotdog, or the scissors while someone's getting a haircut, I don't know, I assume I'd have much better Ideas when the time actually came. But it appears that mr. briet just wanted to blur random objects, for no apparent reason, just fo rthe sake of blurring, or pixellating or whatever.

hey weird - the antville Freeland link went to something else - I posted the real one which is www.smugglersite.com .... and is big on the pixelation (hey maybe they stole the idea from Blur too).

to langolier: wishing you were a director - go borrow a DVCamera; download some software, find a band and get cracking - "mosaic" effects are easy to do and as you can see here on Antville anyone can post a link.
