A real good selection of TV ads. The citroën one is perfect and the music is amazing
perfect? It's basically a rip off of the mazda (or honda ad) 8 years ago. (and a bad ripoff) You had all the house electric equiments that were gazing outside around a hybrid car. The use of the camera is confusing and the idea poor.
I agree. There's nothing "perfect" let alone original about that spot. The music is THE CLASH. The song title: Magnificent Seven
Yes, the clash is amazing, but it doesn't really mesh well with the piece. I think something more effective would maybe be music that provoked a sense of curiosity. I'm at a loss with examples but something that would enhance the non-sequitorness of the spot. Because as it is now, we're thrust into a party scene as hundreds of conductors/relays/chips/etc carry a camera to the bottom floor. It's odd but infinitely less enticing.
Imagine the same spot driven completely by sound i.e. the clicks of said relays as they crawl around and jump on top of one another. Audiolly by allowing sound to be the forefront of the piece, these chips (which feel like poor CGI to begin with) become more believable and intriguing to watch. Right now it's completely flat when we see hundreds of these guys. We never get a sense of their mass numbers.
As they make their way downstairs music is then introduced to help establish a sense of atmosphere and mischievious adventure. Until finally they're able to get a quick picture with the citreon before having to shuffle away due to human sighting. I feel like by going smaller and more intricate, the spot will ultimately become bigger and more involving.
I don't know. It still makes little sense as to why these chips would be celebrating in the first place. They find a camera...yeah but so what.....?
I agree. This video is pretty weak. Oh wait, did I say video? I meant commercial. WHY ARE YOU POSTING SHITTY COMMERCIALS?!!?! I can go to AdCritic. LET'S STICK TO MUSIC VIDEOS, PEOPLE!
