Sia - Breathe Me

A series of polaroids tell a story in this haunting promo from ex Zero-7 singer Sia. Director Daniel Askill took about 2,500 photos over three days to create the finished effect.
If you watched the series finale of Six Feet Under.
This is that song.

out of the many animated photo videos of recent, this one is quite nice. imo, much better executed than say the gondry hot hot heat one.slash1, 23. August 2005, 11:19

Thanks for the link slash.thingybob, 23. August 2005, 17:59
its well executed, but i think i prefer the gondry or the terri timely (the pleased - we are the doctor) versions of that photo animation effect.salad fingers, 23. August 2005, 18:18
i thought this was okay until i saw that picture of the director. now i hate this video and everyone who has posted on this page or the whole internet.dickensian_hero, 23. August 2005, 19:33

askill is a talentless lumpslash1, 23. August 2005, 20:04
askill is NOT a talentless lump!he is the most interesting young director of our time.
i cant wait to see his feature film.!

I think the effect is over-used and boring.captainmarc22, 23. August 2005, 21:09
this idea has been done over and over by dozens of people in the last 30 years - to the point where it's more a method than concept. I think Olivier Gondry's Bricoleur video is the best one of this - videos.antville.org - oompah, oompah...
That being said I like Askill's Sia video. Executed well, it's pretty, even has some sight gags. Better this than another Furries video.

I think its pretty good but I thought Sia co-directed it?Much better than that pompous crap for Ian Brown...

i loved this videoit's so beautiful
breakitdown, 26. August 2005, 16:01
did it make anyone else sick? i thought the technique was great, but after about ten seconds i thought i was going to throw up. if the director would have kept his hands out of it it would have been so much better and i would not be vacuuming vomit from my keyboard.vidbot, 16. March 2006, 05:34
To call askill a talentless lump is a disservice to talentless lumps everywhere.antdude, 16. April 2006, 08:19
