Cat Power "Cross Bones Style" (1998)

Likely another matter of taste, this is one of my favorite videos of the 1990's. Brett Vapnek would get lots more $ to do videos if I were in charge.
[I don't agree with my 1st comment anymore, btw.]

I was told this was shot on the cheap, maybe $7,000 if my memory serves well. It's worth so much more to me. The dancing, movement, editing and Miss Marshall are a pitch-perfect rendering of the unbelievably great song. Harrowing yet thrilling.
Not sure if those one & vidnet links actually work..my apologies.

I read an interview with Chan right before this video came out. She said, "I'm making a video that's just like Madonna's "Lucky Star". Seriously.alaskaneyes, Monday, 21. November 2005, 23:10
song is really great. There is nothing at all special about this video.jesse.ewles, Tuesday, 22. November 2005, 00:20

i think it is edited well, but the dancers don't do it for me. it's a little too 'ironic.' or something like that, i can't really put my finger on it. however, chan marshall, is hypnotizing, and i can't take my eyes off her. maybe it's because she's completely off her rocker.kevathens, Thursday, 24. I'm gonna take a second time to complain about video size. I'm looking forward to the future when we finally get to watch these things like we watch them on TV: great quality, large video and sound. I just watched the vidnet link online, zoomed in WMP (I only have dialup at home) and got 50% of the effect I get when I actually watch this on the TV.
There's nothing anyone can really do about this at this point, but it's starting to bug me.
In a similar vein when RES comes to town and these appear on the big screen, it's a different experience entirely for each video. I'm guessing theatres are the best places to watch videos??
