This cost £45k and took 18 weeks to plan and shoot, edit etc.
It will hopefully encourage record companies to be more generous with time and money when working with small directors, as these differences go a long way.
         
are you saying that this money wasn't enough? or that it was well spent and that this video needed that much money and time?

basically can't figure out if you consider this a success or a failure.
         
Holy shit. Looks like they got a £250k for £45k. I think there's a solid year of work in there piled into 18 weeks.
         
SAAM: Your video is cool and all, but I have to say, you made 45k look like 200 dollars.

The piece looks and feels like minidv footage spilling all over itself. Your keys are crazy and the 'transitions' from one segment to the next is clunky and crazed.

Also, what were you doing that took 18 weeks? This looks like it was shot off the cuff over a weekend and mixed live on set.

Concerning time and money for younger cats, I couldn't agree more -- But I don't see how your clip is going to encourage labels to give younger directors said resources.

It did look like you put some time into it, but it still didn't look good. I looked like a chopped up Wet Wet Wet video. The styling was awful and the art direction was non-existant. True what you said about budgets but you might want to guage peoples oppinions before you release your Directors Suite DVD.
         
I thought antville was supposed to be full of intelligent discussion by informed peoples? This thread looks like it's jam-packed with trolls. Either that, or jealousy.
