Pretty damn good month with The Concretes, Wolf Parade, and doesn't Patrick's Lightning Blue Eyes come in here?
jesse: just for fun, we did March and February too. I'm an organizer so I mostly enjoy shit like this. If most ppl don't care about these monthlies, I'll easily stop :)
Lightning Blue Eyes was in March. ... Actually I think this will be the last time I put this much work into this.. wasn't really worth it
kev, thx for the effort! it just takes a bloody long time to sum one whole month up.
maybe somebody else will be in the mood to do it next month?
or else, if there was no need to have things organized like that, one might as well leave it, right. let's see.
forget best antvillean video of the month, adambiz wins best video, period.
and ps, the hot chip and tiga videos are both great. antville be crazy sometimes.
I'm thinking next time whomever posts they should just start by posting their own faves (not cover everything), then let everyone else join in. It's defintely too much work for one person.
yeah, that's how it should be, right. so if there is no need, it will just die down, without being too much work for anybody.
(it s rather funny that you will always have somebody asking 'WTF is this about?' which makes you feel stupid, having invested such an amount of time to compile the video list. apparently, the structure of antville is to have loads of blog posts of equal value, and it seems to break the flow to have 'special posts'. at least for some users it does.)
Yeah we'll find out next month if ppl care or not :) It may die from lack of interest, but I think the year-end thing will still get a strong response. I was thinking of doing a half-year thing but that just seems indulgent and silly.
And actually I felt a little dumb while posting, jesse didn't cause that. It's like you can only bring in so much dorkiness to this place. videos.antville was custom built with a dork filter. ;)
Does that "dork filter" keep dorks in or out?
Kev, I appreciate the monthly posts. It's an insane amount of work, yes. I think you should format it into a monthly email or something. If I get into a week of writing soon to be rejected treatments or go somewhere to shoot I miss a lot of good stuff on antville. Just saying it is appreciated.
thanx for the monthly - it'd be great if it were less work... is it my impression or is the 'ville's throughput still rising?
nice to see a quality month. go 'ville, go.
