Goldfrapp "A & E" dir. Dougal Wilson
pretty cool; though a bit sparse for Dougal. I guess it's about the same structure as "What's a Girl to Do"
When is Dougal gonna do a Kanye video? Now that would be cool.
Not uber funny. Ghost Recon meets an Orange commercial.
Dougal's great but man, he's such a commercial guy. It makes his work feel soooo disposable...
I do believe this could've been a great video. But instead we have the insanely self conscious offspring of an old navy ad that fucked a bjork video.
i liked the ending, but... yeah, this doesn't work at all for me (specially on the heels of bat for lashes). is it just that it really doesn't mesh with the song at all?
that was so random and uninspired
cap'n - looks like de thurah's doing kanye's next one...
Tis true. Found verification yesterday.
wow! go Kanye. He's got some good taste.
I do remember reading about Dougal constantly pitching on megastar videos (like the Rolling Stones), but never getting a break.
The marriage of texture and animism. A return to the minimalism & naturalism of "Felt Mountain." A well-calculated move by Goldfrapp. Great compromise, really.
Nice, Dougal.
Totally Kate Bush! Love it!
Calm, yet sensual. An excellent track with a video that doesn’t quite deliver it all… but those last scenes almost make up for it. I really hope future videos from Goldfrapp’s Seventh Tree are twice as good. The music deserves it.
Spike Jonze co-directed a video for "Flashing Lights" which Kanye debuted last night, says MTV News.
spike & lance talk to hype & kance.
"I'm not delusional! Like AHHHHHH I have blinders on!"
"I'm a fan. I'm a fan of really great stuff. By the fact that I'm really great, by default, I'm a fan of myself."
Love it.
GREAT!
I find Kanye's arrogance amusing in the short term but ultimately grating. Can't help but feel he needs a slap. He knows how to make a tune, but shouldn't try 'thinking' too much, let alone try and verbalise his thoughts. It doesn't really become him.
No, can't get on with the choreography in this. The is it day? is it night? effects arrive too late to save it.
what did nanu segal shoot 'donkey punch' on? at some points it looks like hd, then some scenes look like shot on film to me.
