The Penelopes’ Stuck in Lalaland (Dir Danakil)
Remember 'Antibodies?' here's Danakil's new one. Lots of drama, and honey.
I like Danakil's stuff. Always so well shot, atmospheric, & moody in some very unusual ways.
I like it too. There's something unusual, not formulaic about it, and that's refreshing.
erm, tho the formula strikes me as similar (there's them tits again!), i think this really really works. (showcase got it right, this time?)
Really poetic piece.
This is a gorgeous piece and I'm fast falling in love with Danakil's work. I do, however, wish there was more of an 'ending' to the video. As it is, when the final shot faded out, I felt a little let down.
K
couldnt sit through the whole video, it tries way too hard
organic tension. & this vid makes me sad for some reason, very moving.
Very interesting concept but I felt that there was too much repetition of shots. i wish there was more going on.
this is awesome. any idea how they did the no gravity shots?
I agree with legion on this one. Tries way too hard... I burst out laughing when the honey started pouring over the guys body. Could see that coming from a mile away. Oh metaphors.... On the positive side its nicely shot and those falling gravity shots are awesome.
My guess is they slapped a crane on that camera and let the shutter fly. Or it was shot against one of those fan thingis' that levitate you judging from the clothes moving upwards. The good thing is we're guessing, and that we're paying attention. Job well done.
Wow, very dramatic and poetic in a weird way. It kept me involved from start to finish like a movie.
Danakil at age 15. and btw: wanna see the ville's black twin town?
