From 2006 finalist to 2008 winner of Most Fun Video with The BPA's Toe Jam, and Director of the Year, Keith Schofield's parabola has been dizzying. Here's his take:
Wow, thanks Antville! I've been reading this site daily for years and it's really exciting to be recognized after toiling the music video world in obscurity for years. Most of my success in 2008 can be directly linked back to an antville posting of a no-budget video I did in Nov. 2007. That lead to a BUG screening, which lead to the Supergrass video, which lead to everything else.
There's a lot of people I'd like to thank for this award, including Jason Botkin, Alexa Haywod, Lanette Phillips, Tommy Labuda, Joceline Gabriel, Beth Montague, CJ & John Hassay, Carmen Montanez-Callan, Charlotte Neal, Steven Gottlieb and David Knight. And last but certainly not least, a big shout-out to AutoForm 2.1, which was the bot I used to create multiple antville accounts to ballot-stuff the polls.
Here's looking forward to 2009!

With their magnum opus for Björk's Wanderlust, Sean and Isaiah of Encyclopedia Pictura have won their second Best Art Direction award; the video also earned them the Best Music Video of 2008 crown. In their own write:
"It is heartwarming to get these awards from you all. The antville commentary has sometimes been pretty harsh on us, so this is a nice surprise.
Gratitude goes to Mark and Zach at Ghost Robot, uvph, the volunteers, Björk, One Little Indian and Matthew Barney. This video took us a while to make and may well be our last but it was a real adventure and it changed our lives for better and worse.
For those who are keeping track, we'll have some new work up on the website soon - a spot for the game 'Spore' and a short film about a hillbilly and a fox. Right now we are starting a farm, writing a feature and taking it slow.
