30 Seconds to Mars - "From Yesterday" dir. Bartholomew Cubbins [Jared]
"I thought that shooting in China would be the perfect setting to explore the visual possibilities for this song. The depth of their history, the beauty of the culture and the passion of the people inspired a story that left us as a band changed forever."
- Jared Leto.

"Shooting a video is fine if you're the singer: you just sing into the camera. The guitarist can twang his guitar - but what's a drummer supposed to do? I just have to jerk along with the music, feeling like a dick..."

Um... not such a fan of this video, and in particular the lead singer Caleb's "Sean Penn in I Am Sam" vibe. Though it does get a little better than it's cringe-worthy first minute.
Nine Inch Nails 'Survivalism' - dir.:?
The first single from new album 'Year Zero'. Not a masterpiece but I guess it's cool when you are into this whole 'Year Zero' mythology and promotion. The band distributed it via USB sticks left in toilets during their concert in London yesterday. Looks like it should in 2022.
