Can't find anything other than bad embedded versions of this video. A classic.
Belle Genvieve, Terri Timely
Here is a little short thing we just finished. It is not exactly a music video but it does have some Schubert playing in the background.
Revl9n "Someone Like You" dir. Johan Renck
I'm Johan's publicist for today. His latest is a bit bizarre.
Musicvideos we hate
Just by random I watched a video twice today, which I hate. I remembered times when I was watching MTV and there was a video which I hated, and it came again and again and again. I realised: Losing MTV is losing hate of special musicvideos, which was also a lot of fun. So I thought of starting an antville-collection - not simply of bad videos but of videos we all can hate. (My first post is in the comment-section ...)

This is my first video. The band was looking for something non-narrative where they got to be themselves and perform in a different way. Thanks for looking.

Interview with Johan Renck
I just posted my first in an upcoming series of interviews. It's an interview with Johan Renck. I'm lining up a few others. Enjoy! (This'll be the only time I'll create a post about these.)
Lotsa links to his vids, and some really good ads too.

Birushana - Japanese doom/percussion - live
just to mix it up a bit, I thought I'd post some of these guys shot last week. They play 44 gallon drums with metal hammers and a car rim. Fretless bass, guit and regular drums as well.
sound is camera mic and it's dark and dirty.
The View From the Afternoon - Arctic Monkeys (Director: W.I.Z.)
I couldn't find a still of the video, so I decided to put in a photo of the band.
Now, the whole premise of this video is that this guy is playing the drums out in public. Actually, it's a video that is very original (I think) and different from any other music video out there today, just like their previous video, When the Sun Goes Down (Scummy Man). It's a great video for a great band.
here's a different version of the video that has dialogue in it: www.factoryfilms.net

Pirate music video remix contest, mateys!
Because kidnapping and killing people on the high seas is exactly the same as sharing music(videos) with your friends!
- The remixes/mash-ups should feature at least 10 seconds of recognizeable pirates (the traditional ARRR MATEY sea-going pirates). The entire video doesn't have to be pirates, but there should be a few clips to remind people that this is in fact a pirate party.
- The music needs a beat that people can groove to. Extra points if the music is plunderphonics or otherwise exercises your fair use rights, but the primary requirement is that the music be danceable.
- The music video should be placed somewhere online where we can download it, in a format that VLC can play. MP4 or MOV will work fine.
- The deadline is April 21st.
The Pirate Parrrty will be held on Saturday, April 22nd, 10pm-2am, at the Upper Tarble, Swarthmore College, Swarthmore, PA, 19081; there will be costumes, remixes, eyepatches, and ARRRR.

Adam and the Ants music videos
A stroll down memory lane...way back to the early eighties. Adam and the Ants with some of their biggest hits...anno 1980-1982. All of their songs were written by Adam Ant (real name Stuart Leslie Goddard) and Marco Pirroni...Adam later persued an acting career and had some moderate success in various movies and tv-series. He's been trying to get a comeback, but haven't really succeeded. In 2000 he was hospitalized due to a nervous break down..he'd been waving a gun at some folks. As far as I know he doing fine now and is back in the recording studio. He’s been working with Boz Boorer...who played the guitar and co-wrote some of the tracks ("Now My Heart is Full", "Spring-Heeled Jim", "The More You Ignore Me, The Closer I Get", "Lifeguard Sleeping, Girl Drowning", and "Speedway") on Morrissey's insanely great album "Vauxhall and I"...
Pirroni went on to work with Sinead O'Connor among others...I believe he's a producer now.
Enjoy!
