u2, original of the species (catherine owens)
DISCLAIMER: OBVIOUSLY THIS IS JUST MY OPINION, THOUGHT WE WERE ALLOWED TO HAVE THOSE HERE** anyone else think this is like one of the worst big artist video of the year? one thing that just drives me insane are human cgi effects. they always look so plastic and pointless. sure would be nice if videos had a concept today instead of merely bad computer effects and artist shots.

Mew - Why are you looking grave?
These boys are way hotter than I thought they would be. The rabbit girl reminds me of Donnie Darko too much.

The Thermals ”No Culture Icons” by Lance Bangs
Want more postpunk? » No Culture Icons (QT, 13MB) » thethermals.com
I kind of like the Sub Pop irony in this one.
(By the way, what is it that they do in Portland, Oregon, to get all these cool bands? There’s Sleater-Kinney, 31Knots, The Thermals, Decemberists, The Shins …)
Help she can’t swim ”I don’t need you”
Yet another British ’neopostpunk’ act, but this time with a female singer, I really love that song: » I don’t need you (flash)

which can be found at fantastic plastic records, the band’s homepage is here.
