SBS Live This Week! - Swami Lushbeard Part 1
Ever since we rolled out this video-interview project way back in early 2013 with Cinged, it took over as my favourite type of project that can come my way. Allowing the bands and artists to have complete creative control in what they do and how they choose to represent themselves on-screen isn't just cool to watch - it's the fuckin RIGHT thing to do and a completely kick-ass way to approach things.
SWAMI LUSHBEARD is on our show for the first part of another three-part episode, our final one to start our year before we head back to our regular two-part format. When you see it, you'll understand what I'm rambling about here - there was NO WAY we were dropping a single minute of what has been shot on Swami's side of the internet! THIS......is the video-interview vision fully realized.
Not ONLY did they supply an incredible amount of history, knowledge and fun facts about their band of ten years - but just take a look at the editing! Good lord!
This project allows YOU to become as involved as you want to be - and the Swami Lushbeard crew even took to EDITING their own videos. Now...I'm not THAT much of a public crier...so I hid my tears from the camera...but let me tell you firsthand that Don Sprouls has skills that put mine so far into the dirt it's not even comparable!
And you know what? I couldn't be happier.
This first part of Swami Lushbeard is a good ol' fashioned "get to know ya" episode. We'll show you the original review done on Swami Lushbeard's EP "A Burning Desire," music videos from SL and of course pieces from the spectacular interview itself. Seriously amazing group of people in this band and their hard work and efforts completely pay off.
But we'll ALSO get to know a few others! Just like we featured Swami Lushbeard back in the day through video review, we thought we'd carry on the tradition and throw in a couple more throughout this episode! You'll get a chance to hear music from The Hawthornes and Utuvis and my thoughts on their work, building on the written reviews we've recently done at www.sleepingbagstudios.ca
Adding in a bonus video to mix it up - we've got a video from the Blu Collar Glomeration - make sure you stick around and watch that one to the end...love the way this video wraps up!
But you're not leaving anyway are ya? You'll watch it all cause Swami's interview and videos are completely worth every minute of your time and EVERY INCH of your earholes!
Enjoy!
